Coming Together

A meeting of Yoruba people convened at the residence of Dr Oladele Olusanya on Sunday, June 21, 2015 resolved to reconstitute the local chapter of ‘Egbe omo Yoruba’ with national headquarters in the Dallas Fort Worth area. ‘Omo Yoruba of Dallas Fort Worth area,’ was formed as a local chapter under the constitution of the national body.

Membership

Membership of Egbe Omo Yoruba Dallas-Fort Worth is open to anyone who is of Yoruba extraction by birth or marriage. Such a person must be above 18 years of age before applying and becomes a member once admitted to the organization.

Any member who completed payment of the $250 annual dues three months before a meeting of the organization has voting rights. These are called paid-up members.

Associate Members are people associated with the organization by their affiliation with a paid-up member such as family connection and similar connection and admitted to associate membership. Associate members are not required to pay any dues, may be of any age, and may otherwise enjoy all the benefits of the organization.
