The Nigeria House in London emanated from the Yoruba community that supported her visionary leadership. Today, it is the pride of black men and continues to host the Nigerian foreign missions and presidents in all its glamour. It is historic and testifies to the pioneering cultural heritage of the Yoruba people. Today, our President, Pastor Raphael Adebayo is leading another cultural vision to establish a Yoruba House in the Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex as a rallying point and pivot for the economic emancipation of the Yoruba community in America, and he calls for our support.
Challenging as the concept may be, the potential is undeniable. The majesty and opulence of the Martin Luther King Jr Historic Park may celebrate the icon, yet design required men who took pride in the project for the park to remain the enigma that celebrates the history of his people. The commitment of the people provoked a dedication of the leadership to birth the dream. Hence, all Yoruba people are invited to commit to the celebration of their cultural heritage in America through a support of the Yoruba House Project for the future of our generations.
When completed, the Yoruba House will define the Yoruba race as it expounds on the culture, traditions, and history of the Yoruba people; it will be a rallying point for economic activities and support for our modern existence in America; and it will prepare a future for our children to take their place in the evolutionary trends of their community without losing their cultural identity. The Yoruba House will host our royal fathers and give them the opportunity to interact freely with us in addition to hosting social and economic activities to sustain its vibrancy. It will be a beacon of pride for the Yoruba community in America.
I don’t underestimate the magnitude of the concept even at this stage of ideation. I agreed to chair the exploration of the concept trusting in the abilities of my people to break grounds and turn wilderness into estates. I am letting this cat of this bag to provoke your corporate and personal skills as you come out of the woods to join us in turning this dream to a reality through a living edifice – a pride of our strength.
Please volunteer to join me as we form committees and sub-groups to concretize steps towards achieving this gigantic goal – The Yoruba House, DFW.
Thanks
